Right in my cube. The el ride was almost too much. I still feel drunk. ugh.
After showtune night, we went to Charlie’s and they had Karaoke. Of course I had to do my thang. I sang:
- I Am Changing (from Dreamgirls)
- You Oughta Know
- Material Girl
I tried to do The Ladies Who Lunch, but they had the song mistitled in their system. Bastards. People really liked my Material girl. I tore it up.

One of my favorite things to do when I visit Chicago is showtune night at Sidetrack. Did you have backup dancers for “Material Girl”? : )

Happy (early) Birthday!!! Are you the big 2-6 now?? Comes up quick, doesn’t it?! Really liked your post about kids in the restaurant! Good for that cafe owner. I’m so sick of people feeling like their kids rule the world and everyone needs to bow down to them. Parents in our generation could learn a thing or two…
