I hate that I’m a fan of unpopular music

What does a guy have to do to find a cd of a show for which he’s been waiting (on the edge of his proverbial and literal seat) months? Short of selling his soul?

Thank you Coconuts for saving me. And not you, pseudo-intellectual Borders.

Now I may not have the amazing cd acquisition story some of us have, but I did feel pretty amazed that I didn’t punch someone at Borders. You see, experiences like this would NEVER happen to someone seeking a recently released popular music title. However, I could not find the Sweeney Revival – even after the store computer told me it was in stock and in the store. The staff there didn’t even know what I was talking about.

AND – when I ripped the CDs to my computer this morning, the track information Window’s Media player uploaded from it’s databases was entirely incorrect because no one gives a shit about unpopular music.

Ugh. I’m not articulating myself well this morning. But let’s just say I was (and am) p.o’ed. P.O’ed I tell you! I’m gonna go Sweeney on their asses.

So swing your razor high, bitches. Swing it to the friggin’ sky.

  1. “You know, this Sweeney revival is like Brooklyn!” – I deserve to get my throat slit.
