Bob’s Rare Music Collection – Part 3

Nothing says camp like “Carrie: The Musical.”

For more about my love for the show, see my previous posts.

These are clips were recorded through the sound board on the third performance of this show – which was also closing night – resulting in the biggest flop in recent Broadway history.

- IN – the thrilling opening number featuring the girls working out in the gym complete with 80’s jazzercise beat culminating in an all-girl pyramid.

- AND EVE WAS WEAK – Just listen for Christ’s sakes. The song pretty much speaks for itself. Long Live Betty Buckley.

- OUT FOR BLOOD – Opening 2nd act number. Chris, Carrie’s nemesis, scores blood from the pig farm with her boyfriend and back-up dancers. Complete with lightening sounds and oinks.

- CARRIE’S REVENGE – Musicalized destruction.

Best. Musical. Ever.

  1. Love ya more and more.

  2. Love that Betty Buckley — and is it just me, or does she sound like she’s singing in a totally made-up foreign language sometimes? Whatever. Nicely done!

  3. I’ve always thought that Carolee Carmello was the love child of Betty Buckley and Donna Murphy, both of whom originate from the Planet Zorb.
