Or was it Millennium Park? I never know the difference.
I used to be a big time ice skater. I even took figure skating lessons for a hot second. However, I haven’t stepped on the ice in over 10 years. I’m pleased to say that even with rusted, dull blades applied to boots made of plastic and cardboard, I was able to do a crossover and dodge the myriad of kids and speed skating a-holes. After an hour, I think I got the hang of it again.
Of course, I can’t take all the credit. I have to thank Air Supply and vintage Billy Joel – two artists (I’m just assuming Air Supply is an artist) who filled the brisk Alpena air when I learned how to skate those many years ago. I’m sure they aided in my memory and agility recall. I must also thank Gina for coming up with the idea in the first place. THANK YOU.
Some evidence below (mom will be so happy.) I have to remember to bring my actual camera to things. These camera phone shots aren’t really doing the trick.
