Remember when I blogged about Miranda Sings a few months ago?
I think I discovered her right at the tipping point. You see, when Jamie sent me her Single Ladies video, I discovered her Free Voice Lesson video, which led me to her youtube page where I learned she had a facebook page. That day, she had around 50 facebook friends – with me among them. At the end of that day, she had over 200 friends. And now, three months later, she’s exceeded her alloted 5,000 friends, causing her to create a facebook fan page…and now, she’s everywhere:

What’s next? Guest on 30 Rock? Maybe SNL? To me, this is so representative of the American Dream. A struggling actress creates a character on youtube that one day, for whatever reason, goes viral, and now she’s quickly becoming an underground superstar. It gives us all hope. Happy Friday!
