Bebe Neuwirth, Nathan Lane and the cast of the new Broadway-bound musical The Addams Family.
Fabulous, no?
The show’s Broadway tryout begins at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre on November 13 (next week!) before beginning previews on Broadway March 5, 2010, with an opening set for April 8. More info here.

Arrrrrgggggh. I thought it was opening in March and already started planning a trip around it.
Parley – Previews begin March 5 (opening night is April 8). I’ve clarified in the post above.
Seeing it 11/24 – Cannot wait!
I do love that picture! Creepy yet kooky.
Saw The Addams Family this evening! Just got home! What an awesome show! Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane couldn’t be more charming. And Grandma?? Well, she actually stole the show!
Great to hear! I love Jackie Hoffman. Seeing it Dec 2 and Dec 6. Can’t wait!
I’m glad to hear it, too, Carol! We’re going at the end of November
Planning to take my kids (8 & 11) to play. Is it suitable for younger viewers?
Hi, David — no clue. I haven’t seen it yet. From all I hear there’s nothing objectionable for kids, but I could be wrong.
There are a few innuendos, and Gomez is overly arduous at times, but nothing overly shocking. It is more aimed at adults, than kids. It honors the TV show in a few instances, and ignores the movies.
Saw the Sunday afternoon performance of the Addams Family…rather weak and disappointing- mediocre songs, a plot hardly worthy of the cartoons, lame jokes – the TV show was better. A bad mixture of The Rocky Horror Show and Ishtar.
Really? I was at the same performance and was thoroughly entertained. Please explain (if you can) what Ishtar could possibly have in common with this show. (Or did you really see it?)
