Ray Conniff’s “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” album, particularly the song below, represents all that is Christmas to me. I remember playing this record nonstop as a kid. All those cheery harmonies and Lawrence-Welkyness made (makes) me all soft and fuzzy inside. After nearly wearing the album out, my mom transferred it to cassette. And then, in my 20s, I got it on CD. Rejoice!
Gotta love these vintage music videos. It’s all so very white. Like snow!
And while I adore the tune, don’t let it snow too hard. I have to drive through that shit today. Thanks.
Merry Christmas, chickens! Thanks for reading and commenting over the past year. I look forward to continuing the conversation very soon!
(Side note: Check out this tragic toupée action. Oh, Mr. Conniff!)
Oh my god, you and my father would get along very well together.
Happy holidays, RivB!
Same to you, Kari!
