“Some People” — as you’ve never heard it before…

Or maybe you have?

Carly Sakolove (whoever she is?) sings this classic tune from the musical Gypsy impersonating a whole number of the usual — and unexpected — divas. (Warning: the unexpected ones may make you pee a little.)

  1. Oh man. This is amazing. That Idina impression is DEAD. ON. And the lack of enunciation in the LuPone segments made me laugh really hard. :) I never realized how Peters, LuPone, and Liza sound DRUNK.

  2. That was pretty interesting. How do we know she impersonated all those people and didn’t just do cuts of their songs and splice them together?

    1. We know because half of those people haven’t sung “Some People” before, and they’re clearly impersonations. :)

  3. Fantastic!! Brava!! Hilarious and flawless impressions/parodies, yet full of surprises. Spot on. Best non drag take on these ladies. Where’s Audra? Too fine to lampoon?

  4. HAHAHA!! Very impressive! I thought Bette Middler’s and maybe Idina’s could have been better but gosh the rest sounded like the real deal!

I wonder if you can go to college to major in impersonation.

  5. Oh. My. Lord. I think Idina was the funniest and so dead on.
