The Guerilla Project is bringing Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-Winning musical Into the Woods to Chicago for three performances only! Inspired by the timeless tales of the Brothers Grimm, Into the Woods tells the story of a Baker and his Wife who journey into the woods on a quest to lift a witch’s curse. On the way they cross paths with Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella and a menagerie of other fairy tale characters. They each pursue individual wishes until their stories become entangled in unexpected ways — revealing what happens after “happily ever after.” The Catherine Cook School is hosting The Guerilla Project and all proceeds will be donated to the Catherine Cook School Performing Arts Program. The Children’s Matinee is an abridged version of the musical and offers the perfect opportunity to bring youngsters. Children will also have an opportunity to meet the cast after the matinée.

The Guerilla Project brings together eclectic and multi-talented artistes from across the country for this one-week collaboration. The Guerilla Project is an enterprise of The Miscreants Cabaret, a San Francisco-based performance troupe. The Guerilla Project embraces the creative inertia of time, energy, and imagination to impel originality and inspiration.
